In a heartwarming display of support, Olympic champion Simone Biles recently commented on a viral video of a young aspiring gymnast, Nova, leaving the little girl absolutely ecstatic.

The video, shared by Nova's mom, Tiffany Davidson, 35, on Instagram (@missnovagirl), has garnered an impressive 29 million views, captivating audiences with the 5-year-old's skills.

Nova, who started gymnastics at the age of 3, now dedicates 12 hours a week to the sport and dreams of one day representing the United States in the Olympics. The Instagram clip shows Nova practicing a series of impressive moves on an 18 cm wide floor training beam in their living room, including a walkover, back flip, somersault, and more.

On July 22, Biles, known as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time, noticed the video and left an encouraging comment: "the little strut [clapping emoji] get it girl!!!!"

This moment of recognition from a global icon thrilled Nova and her family.

Davidson, from Virginia, spoke to Newsweek about the moment: "I was so shocked when I saw the comment and so happy because I knew Nova would be ecstatic! We were at her practice when I saw it, and when she had a break, I told her and she was so excited, she grabbed my phone and showed all of her teammates!"

Biles is an American gymnast who has become a household name due to her record-breaking achievements and extraordinary skills. The 27-year-old has won a total of seven Olympic medals, including four golds, at the 2016 and 2020 games. She is currently competing at the Olympics in Paris.

Davidson points out in the video text that her daughter's beam routine was inspired by Team USA.

"My daughter is a huge Simone Biles fan. She loves and looks up to her," Davidson told Newsweek.

"We went to a few of her meets to watch her compete and it's amazing and so inspiring to see her."

Last year, Nova had the pleasure of meeting Biles and she was left speechless.

"She still talks about that moment very often," Davison said.

Joscelyn Roberson, an American gymnast who is an Olympic alternate, is rooting Nova on, too.

"I think she has a better press than me [laughing face emoji]," Roberson commented on the post.

At the time of writing, the video has 2.1 million likes and over 31,000 comments.

"You go baby girl!!! Can't wait to see you win GOLD in the future!! #Champion," one commenter wrote in response to the video.

"Can not WAIT to see her on the big stage on day!" said another commenter.

Nova's story is a testament to the powerful impact of role models in sports, and Biles's heartwarming moment of encouragement will undoubtedly remain a cherished memory for this budding gymnast and her family.

Newsweek reached out to Biles' media team for comment.
